My Story - Laura Surfield
After training and studying photography in the early 90’s I went on to work as a portrait photographer and manager for various family portrait fundraising companies throughout Australia.
I soon learned that time flies by quickly and children grow up so fast! Being involved in raising valuable funds for children’s organisations, while helping families capture these special years, gave me an incredible sense of job satisfaction… but I always felt it was possible to offer an even better service at a more competitive cost.
So in 2003, I decided that it was time to go it alone and set up Laura Jean Photography. My objective was to create Australia’s first choice in Family Portrait Fundraising through the delivery of high quality photography at the most competitive price.
I knew the families and organisations wanted more choice so we quickly introduced a more relaxed style of portraiture, new posing and backdrops, as well as outdoor portraiture options as fresh alternatives. We also introduced more flexible options and improved marketing assistance to help organisations raise even more funds.
To deliver the highest quality portraits you need top quality photographers and we have put together a team of Australia’s best.
